No-one could have thought that Gus Hansen was not going to win his fourth World Poker Tour title at the Five-Star World Poker Classic at Bellagio, Las Vegas, last weekend! But amazingly the ‘Great Dane’ was somehow unable to convert a five to one chip lead heads up and had to settle for second place, with David Chiu completing an amazing comeback to scoop the .39 million first prize and claim his first WPT title.

Despite a handful of gloomy predictions and several blatant examples of what could only be described as restrictive practices, poker’s popularity continues to grow. Furthermore, that’s not simply the sort of phoney, baseless statement of which the government’s spin doctors would be proud, the figures speak for themselves.

Sorry there hasn’t been much in the way of poker game articles. Stella my girlfriend has just given birth to our first baby the next Littlewoods Poker Pro Joshua Chessa ( already an online player at 6 weeks just don’t tell his mum ) With the EPT’s finished and only really the WPT in Paris left its time to start looking across the pond and towards the WSOP?
