Guys,
I’m fairly new to online poker and was recently playing with a group of people whose names I recognised. While this might not sound as though I’m extending my poker horizons, it’s a good way to learn the game and the other guys all seemed pretty laid back about the whole thing. There wasn’t a great deal of pre- or post-flop pressure and in truth, the betting was quite tame.

It’s probably true to say that the very best comedians possess one vital skill which differentiates them from the ordinary joke-teller. Most people can recount a funny tale, but many of us fail to deliver the punch line with the impact of a top professional.
Time and again, we can listen to an established comic, unaware of the pauses in his delivery, but it is this uncanny control of timing which separates the guy who has you rolling in the aisles from the one who has you merely rolling your eyes.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that heads-up poker is a luck thing -you couldn’t be further from the truth.
Whether playing an actual heads-up game (one player versus one player) or in the final stages of a tournament, it is vital to have the upper edge and hopefully here are a few pointers that will improve anybody’s heads-up play.

Why is it that politicians of every persuasion are often referred to as knaves or jokers, but rarely as aces? And isn’t it a peculiar fact of life that every negative card-playing connotation, from being guilty of sharp practice to behaving in an underhand manner seem to be associated as much with elected members of Parliament as they are with the dirtiest of poker tables?
